

The app has entered the Windows app store quite late. Users will receive additional 2GB of cloud storage once they log in from their Microsoft devices. The app also provides access to personal as well as professional accounts.


The app automatically backs up your photos to your account and users can mark files as favorites to access them even when they don't have internet. The new app will allow users to backup their files to Dropbox and access them from any compatible device. In a blog post, the company's Product Manager Matthew Jaffe announced the availability of Dropbox for Windows mobiles. The app will work on Windows phones (8.0 or higher) and Windows devices running on Windows RT or Windows 8.1. This news comes soon after Microsoft's Windows 10 event which took place yesterday. Dropbox has finally released an official app for Microsoft's Windows platform.
